A Namibian artist named Max Siedentopf has set up a sound system in a secret spot in the coastal Namib Desert to play Toto’s “Africa” for, in theory, the rest of time.
The set up includes six speakers on white pillars attached to an MP3 player with the single track on it.
He chose the most durable items as part of the installation, but knows the harsh nature of the desert will harm the set up eventually.
Until then, he hopes the song plays for millions of years.
