UMe/Virgin

UMe/VirginIn June 2018, Def Leppard released the first of a planned series of four box sets, spanning the British rockers’ entire recording career.  Now the band has announced details of the second installment.

The Def Leppard — Volume Two box set will focus on the recent Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees’ 1990s output, and will be released on June 21. The collection will be available both as a seven-CD package and a 10-LP set pressed on 180-gram vinyl.

Both versions will feature remastered versions of three Def Leppard studio albums — 1992’s Adrenalize, 1996’s Slang and 1999’s Euphoria — as well as the 1993 Retro Active compilation, which included updated versions of B-sides and previously unreleased tracks recorded between 1984 to ’93.

Three volumes of rarities compiled by singer Joe Elliott, featuring B-sides, demos, live performances and bonus tracks round out the package.

The box sets also include a hardcover book featuring rare photos, new sleeve notes and introductions penned by all of Def Leppard’s members.

News of the new box set comes a day before the premiere of the HBO special focusing on the 2019 Rock Hall induction ceremony. Taped last month, it featured Def Leppard among the honorees.
